v1b3 awarded a 2011 Propeller Grant

unreal-estates and v1b3 have been awarded a 2011 Propeller Grant for the proposal

Expose, Intervene, Occupy: Re-interpreting Public Space 
Annette Barbier, Drew Browning, Mat Rappaport, Conrad Gleber, John Marshall, Cezanne Charles, Gail Rubini: The collectives unreal-estates and v1b3 propose an augmented reality application for internet enabled mobile devices that will interrogate the meaning of public space using models, images, text, and movies overlaid on locations in Chicago’s Loop.

The projects will premiere in the summer of 2012.

Propeller Fund is administered by Gallery 400 and threewalls. Funding for the initial years of Propeller Fund is provided by a grant from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. Chicago is the third community to be selected by the foundation in a program to locally regrant funds for on-the-ground, self-organized artistic activity.
